| Q: What kind of closed-tube do the equipment of Unicomp use? What’s the difference between open tube and closed-tube? |
| A: Fluorescent tube can be divided into open-ended tube and closed tube. Then, the closed-tube can be divided into oil-cooled closed-tube and air-cooled closed-tube. What Unicom adopt is air-cooled closed-tube. The differences between open tube and closed-tube are as follows:
1 The cost of using:
1.1: The cost of using open tube is relatively higher, since the filament of open tube need be replaced after using 300 to 500 hour.
1.2 The cost of using closed-tubes are much lower, which only need one input and no replacement.
2 Maintenance:
2.1 The open tube need target correction after using 300 to 500 hours. Bedsides, the replacement need the help of professional personnel or personnel with professional trained skills.
2.2 The closed-tube do not need maintenance and can be used for a life-long time.
3: Vacuum-pumping and warming up:
3.1 It should be have vacuum-pumping before the use of open tubes and have a preheating of about 30 minutes.
3.2 The closed-tube need no vacuum-pumping and warming up,
4: The size of focusing
4.1: The size of open tubes’ focusing is generally between 1 and 3 micron
4.2 The size of closed- tubes’ focusing is generally between 4 and 8 micron

| Q: How can the X-Ray inspection machines of Unicom limit the radiation within a safe scope? |
| A: First of all, the X-ray equipments of Unicomp belong to micro-focus-ray source devices. The dose of X-Ray radiation is relatively smaller than that of the other X-Ray inspection machines which are used in the field of industry, security inspection and medical treatment, so on and so forth. Besides, it is easier to implement safety protection measures. We employ the following measures to ensure that the users are in an absolute secure environment to use the devices:
1 The structure of the equipment pertains to the fully enclosed design, so that the X-Ray source can be enclosed in a confined environment and the users can be isolated out to not contact with X-Ray source directly.
2 The body shell of X-Ray inspection equipments employ three-tier structure of steel-lead-steel design, and the thickness of the lead is 3 mm. The edges and corners and bending adopt precision lead solder strictly to make sure that the Ray will not leak out
3 The windows’ glass is not ordinary glass, it is lead glass of 20mm.
4 The equipments have tandem safety interlock functions, which means that only when the front and the behind door are closed completely, can the X-Ray source be switched on.
5 The equipments have electromagnetic lock security functions, which means that when the X-Ray source works normally, the front security door can not be opened.
6 U.S. FDA certification. U.S. FDA stands for: the United States Food and Drug Administration (Food and Drug Administration). U.S. FDA stipulates that all X-ray related equipment must comply with safety standards for radiation leakage: The dose of radiation is lesser than or equal to 0.5mR per hour. Unicomp has successfully received FDA certification.

| Q: How can X-Ray inspection equipments of Unicomp resist radiation? |
| A: It’s very harmful to absorb X ray excessively. Therefore, the X-Ray inspection equipments of Unicomp take the following measures to protect people:
1 : The body shell of X-Ray inspection equipments employ three-tier structure of steel-lead-steel design and lead of 3mm to block the damage of X-ray on human bodies.
2: The visible glass windows are installed with lead too. The thickness of the lead is 216mm.
3: The X-Ray inspection equipments have safety interlock functions: only when the following conditions were meet, can the X-Ray be switched on: the front and the back door are shunted at the same time, and the two high-sensitivity proximity switches on the front door are opened at the same time. Otherwise, X-ray will be cut off automatically at a short notice.
4: The X-Ray inspection equipments have electromagnetic lock protective functions. When the X ray was unbarred, the front security door can not be opened.
5: U.S. FDA certification. U.S. FDA stands for: the United States Food and Drug Administration (Food and Drug Administration). U.S. FDA stipulates that all X-ray related equipment must comply with safety standards for radiation leakage: The dose of radiations should be lesser than or equal to 0.5mR per hour. Unicomp has successfully received FDA certification in 2008.The Certification number is :0810141-000.

| Q: what’s the operation principle of X-Ray inspection equipment? In which areas can Unicomp’s X-Ray inspection equipments be used presently? |
| A: X-Ray generators generate X-ray, then X-ray irradiate the tested objects and penetrate through the tested objects of different densities, enhancer then receive the residual X-ray of different intensity and transfer them to different image signals of light and dark gray-scale. Then, the image signals are enlarged by CCD and transferred to image sub-parts analysis software. In the end, the software will optimize these image signals to change the signals into visible clear images.
The X-Ray inspection equipments produced by Unicomp recently can be widely used in the field of nondestructive testing electronics industry which includes industries of battery, mobile phone manufacturing, board manufacturing, solar cells and semiconductors, so on and so forth.
