Castings are closely related to daily life. For example, door handles, door locks, radiators, water pipes, iron pans, gas hobs, irons, etc., which are often used, are castings. Casting quality has a major impact on the performance of mechanical products. For example, the wear resistance and dimensional stability of machine tool castings directly affect the accuracy of the machine tool and maintain its life. The detection of castings has three types of detection of casting surface and near surface defects and detection of internal defects. For internal defects, common non-destructive testing (NDT) methods are radiation detection and ultrasonic testing. X-Ray detection generally uses X-rays as the source of radiation. When the work piece is placed in the x-ray field, the intensity of the radiation emitted through the casting varies locally with the size and nature of the defect, forming a ray image of the defect, passing through the ray film. Recording is performed, or it can be detected in real time through a fluorescent screen, or detected by a radiation counter. The image of the defect reflected by radiography is intuitive, and the shape, size, number, plane position and distribution range of the defect can be presented. Special measures and calculations are taken to determine the depth of the defect.
